Key Attributes

SEAMLESS JOINS

Pieces of Corian® can be glued together inconspicuously to create a seamless look, giving virtually unlimited design possibilities for surfaces.

REPAIRABLE BENCHTOPS

Benchtops in Corian® are renewable and repairable, meaning they can be fully restored to their original condition if damaged, without having to completely replace the material.

STAIN RESISTANT

Corian® is one of the most Hygienic surfaces available and will never permanently stain. It is always best to wipe up spills as they occur. Generally, a damp microfiber cloth with warm soapy water should remove most stains.

UV STABLE

Robust, durable, waterproof, UV resistant, Corian® can be fully exposed outdoors and is backed by a 10 year Corian® Exterior Benchtop Warranty.

Germ, virus & mould resistant

Corian® is the safest benchtop and splashback surface choice for hygiene critical areas. The smooth surface of Corian® including seamless joins means there is nowhere for germs, viruses or mould to hide.

QUARTZ AND CRYSTALLINE SILICA FREE

Corian® Solid Surface is made from 2/3rds natural minerals (bauxite) and 1/3 acrylic binder. Corian® Solid Surface is 100% Quartz and Silica Free, meaning it can be safely cut on site if required and installed with seamless joins.

THERMOFORMABLE

Corian® can be thermoformed in wooden or metal moulds at controlled temperatures in order to create various 2D and 3D design objects. Embossing effects can also be created using the Bas Relief technique.

TEXTURED SURFACES

When our hands make contact with a surface, we are immediately aware of what’s real. Texture offers more than the physical. It connects us to emotion, which is how we want people to experience textured Corian® surfaces. We believe a surface can bring a powerful reaction, matched only by the force of imagination.

TRANSLUCENT

The translucency of Corian® is especially striking in the lighter colours as well as with thinner sheets. Many designers are now using the material to create lighting effects in various applications.

RESISTANT

Corian® has been tested for its mechanical, thermal, electrical and other surface properties. Results of these specific tests as well as details on the other physical properties of Corian® can be consulted in the “PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES” in the technical section of this website.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Corian® is manufactured in compliance with strict standards in order to limit waste and energy consumption at all stages of the production process. Both the material itself and the adhesives used to install it are GREEN GUARD Indoor air quality certified®.

SOLID

Colours and textures run through the entire thickness of the material and cannot wear away. Corian® is a solid material and cannot delaminate.

NON-TOXIC

Corian® is an inert and non-toxic material. Under normal temperature conditions, it does not emit gases. When burned, it releases mainly Carbon Oxides and the smoke generated is optically light and does not contain toxic halogenated gases.

10 YEAR WARRANTY

Corian® is backed by a 10-Year Limited Warranty when fabrication and installation are performed by a DuPont™ Certified Fabricator Installer.
