What is the Corian solid surface material?

Solid surface material is a composite material composed of an acrylic mass, hardened natural minerals (about 75%) and pigments. The composition varies according to the manufacturer's brand. Solid surface material is versatile, hygienic, non-porous, homogeneous, resistant and easy to process and clean. In addition, plates made of solid surface material are thermoformable, partially backlit and can be combined with other materials.

What is the wooden lacquer material?

Lacquer is a type of hard and usually shinny coating or finished applied to materials such as wood or metal. It is most often made from resin extracted from trees and waxes and has been in use since antiquity.

And for the cost, the Corian solid surface is expensive than wooden lacquer, but durable and high end than it, so if your office area is used as a high end place, we suggest chooseing Corian, if you have a tight budget, we suggest choosing woode lacquer.

Solid surface is a low-maintenance countertop material known for its seamless appearance and numerous available designs, which often mimic the look of natural stones.

Introduced in the late 1960s under the brand “Corian,” it is made from acrylic or polyester resin that can be shaped into any form thanks to thermoforming. It has a consistent composition throughout its thickness, hence the term “solid surface.” Unlike laminates, which feature a thin decorative surface layer, solid surface has a uniform color and pattern evident throughout its entire thickness.

Apart from Corian, other notable brands include “Staron,” “Hanex,” and “Solflex.” It is also often referred to as “synthetic granite” by some contractors and suppliers here in the China.
